Michael T. Duke, a longtime Greenwich resident, passed away at his home on Friday, February 2, 2001. He was 58. Born in Chicago, IL, on December 30, 1942, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Nancy McShane Duke. Mr. Duke was the former President and CEO of Volvo Finance North America in Montvale, NJ, and the President and CEO of Auto Shops on the Net. During the Vietnam Conflict, Mr. Duke served in the United States Army Reserve Military Police. He was a member of the Greenwich Country Club and the Eldorado Country Club in Indian Wells, CA. He is survived by his wife Pamela Phillips Duke of Greenwich, CT; his three daughters, Colleen and Christine Duke both of Chicago, IL, and Coreen Duke of Greenwich, CT, and one son, Michael Duke Jr. of Chicago, IL. Calling hours will be held at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, on Monday, February 5, 2001, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Agnes Roman Catholic Church, 247 Stanwich Road, Greenwich, on Tuesday, February 6, 2001, at 11 a.m. Burial will be held privately.
