Charles Anthony Hinni, 71, died Feb. 5 from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease, beloved husband of the late Patricia, nee Lynch; cherished father of Mary (John) Yena, Joseph (Jacqueline), John (Nancy) and Judith (David) Berg; proud grandfather of Michael, Matthew, Mark, Caroline, Lindsey, Carly, Justin, Josh and Conner; loving brother of Norma (Dalton) O’Sullivan and Lucy (Dr. Wilbur) Gill; fond brother-in-law of Marilyn (Ed) Sullivan, Katherine (Egnar) Jensen and Aubrey (LaVerne) Lynch. Visitation 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Funeral Mass 9:45 a.m. Thursday at St. John of the Cross Church, Western Springs. Graduate of St. Mary School in Riverside, Fenwick High School (class of 1947) and St. Louis University. Served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Chief meat inspector and quality assurance manager for Jewel Food Stores for 38 years. 40 year member of St. John of the Cross Parish.
