Rosalyn “Raye” Rosow, loving wife, mother and artist, died Feb. 5, 2001 after a heroic struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in Chicago on May 16, 1921. Raye graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 1991 at the age of 70. Her family and friends benefited from her candor, her common sense, her heartfelt concern for their welfare and her honesty and trust. Raye is survived by her husband, Jerome; her sons, Michael of Santa Fe, NM and Joel of Scarsdale, NY; her sister, Sorrell Caplan of Washington, DC; and five grandchildren. A Memorial Service is planned for 12 noon Thursday, Feb. 8 at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue, White Plains, NY. The family will greet relatives and friends before the service and at their home, 117 Fox Meadow Road, Scarsdale, NY, after the burial. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Westchester Alzheimer’s Association
