Helen Wesolek, 70. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Geils Funeral Home, 260 W. Irving Park, Wood Dale. Born on May 27, 1930 in Poland, Helen courageously fought cancer for the last two years, in order to care for her beloved husband of 49 years, the late Richard Wesolek, who passed away on Jan. 5, 2001. Helen passed away on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001 at her daughter’s home. Interment will follow the funeral service at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Mrs. Wesolek was the loving mother of Richard Wesolek Jr., Elizabeth Anders and Steven Wesolek. She will always be cherished by her grandchildren, Jessica Anders, Reed Anders, Eric Anders, Steven Wesolek, Jason Wesolek, Rick Wesolek and Matthew Ortiz. She is survived by her mother, Helen Suski; and many more saddened family members and countless friends. We will forever carry her wit, charm and love in our hearts.
