Loretta C. Stone, 85, a retired cosmetician from Bloomingdale and formerly of Berwyn, died in her home on Sunday, Feb. 4. She was born and raised in Chicago. Mrs. Stone was employed by Prosch Drug Store in Berwyn. “She was a very creative and practical woman, someone who grew up during the Depression,” said her daughter, Karen Malanowski. “She could take anything and turn it into something beautiful.” Other survivors include a son, William; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Cypress Funeral Home, 1698 N. Bloomingdale Rd., Glendale Heights, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Thursday in Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 241 E. Army Trail Rd., Bloomingdale.
