Robert C. Schultz, 72, of Wheeling, a retired Commonwealth Edison Co. service technician, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, in his home. Mr. Schultz was raised in Chicago and graduated from St. George High School in Evanston. During the 1950s, he served in the Navy Seabee Reserves. He spent 40 years at ComEd and retired in 1989. Mr. Schultz worked in the field and was based out of the company’s offices in Mt. Prospect, Northbrook and Crystal Lake. Mr. Schultz was a motorcycle enthusiast. “When he retired he really had time for riding,” said his daughter Kathleen Rig Headline. Other survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sheila; four sons, Richard, Daniel, Dirk and Ted; another daughter, Lee Ann Ali; two brothers, William and Edward; a sister, Judy Fowler; and 10 grandchildren. Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. Thursday in Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling. A mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 171 W. Dundee Rd., Wheeling.
