Village Board members have approved a resolution supporting the Upper DuPage River Watershed Implementation Plan, a program designed to help citizens protect water sources and improve water quality, wildlife, bio-diversity and recreational opportunities.

Paula Schumacher, assistant to the village administrator, said the plan aims to educate citizens about the watershed and how actions affect the health of it; encourage landowners and policy makers to acknowledge the impact of land uses; and protect the water quality of the DuPage River Watershed.
