I was sad to read of another child dying as a result of entanglement in window-blind cords (“Girl dies in window-blind accident, Northbrook Police say 5-year-old became entangled in long cords,” Metro, Feb. 5), and glad to see that you provided information about modifications that can be made to the blinds to prevent such accidents. Information on how to obtain repair kits and modification instructions, which could save the lives of other children, were not included in the article.
