Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The Cherry Poppin’ Daddies/Squirrel Nut Zippers thing slipped into the Fad Graveyard months ago, but people keep dancing in ballrooms. “Forever Swing,” a musical revue built around the fictitious Tommy Vickers Band and real big-band classics like Benny Goodman’s “Sing, Sing, Sing” and Duke Ellington’s “It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing),” shows 10 swing specialists spinning each other into lindy-hop contortions. Its run continues at 7:30 p.m. Friday, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday at the Chicago Theatre, 175 N. State St. $19.50-$50.50. 312-902-1500.
