Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I am a longtime Chicago Cubs season-ticket holder, and it would not bother me one iota if the Cubs made the proposed changes at Wrigley Field. I am there to watch the game, so stadium advertising or a Jumbo-Tron Screen would not bother me at all. Regardless if people think that the Tribune does not spend enough money on the team itself, it must draw new revenues to compete in today’s sports market.

Those who oppose the upgrades to the ballpark because it would change the feel or the look should look at some of the changes that have gone on outside the park. Owners in the neighborhood have made changes to buildings so they can cash in on the success of the ballpark and no one seems to complain about that.
