Pre-construction sales have begun at City View Tower at Randolph, a new-construction condominium development at 720 W. Randolph St. in Chicago’s West Loop.
The 65 units are base-priced from $229,900 to $749,900 and are being developed by Kaiser-Hoffman Group, a joint venture of Kaiser Development Group LLC and Hoffman Development LLC.
The planned site overlooks the Kennedy Expressway to the east. Plan 03, one of eight floor plans, is a corner unit with two bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a den and a glass-enclosed octagon living/dining area. It has 1,472 square feet and is priced from $416,900 to $476,900, depending on floor location.
The unit’s master bedroom suite has a walk-in closet, private bath and access to a private terrace.
The lower level and first floor of the building will have retail space, storage and an exercise and party room. Floors 2, 3 and 4 will include 76 parking spaces and floors 5 through 11 will be residential.
Parking is priced from $28,000 to $31,000 a space and compact spaces for motorcycles are priced from $9,000 to $11,000.

– Lord & Essex Homes has opened two decorated models at The Renwick Club, a gated community of 99 houses in south suburban Crest Hill.
The five two-story floor plans range from 1,500 to 2,000 square feet and have three or four bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths and attached two-car garages. Base prices range from $144,540 to $169,040.
The two models are the Park and Brookview plans. Priced from $169,040, the Park has four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a living room, family room, wraparound front porch and a two-car garage.
The house’s first floor includes a kitchen, half bath and utility room.
Upstairs is a master bedroom with walk-in closet and a master bath with a 5-foot shower and separate whirlpool tub, double-bowl vanity and private water closet. – Cambridge Homes has opened Forest Glen, a Carol Stream development of 60 townhouses for people 55 and older.
Six floor plans from the Masterpiece Series are offered, and range from 1,631 to 2,608 square feet with two or three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and attached two-car garages. Pre-construction prices range from $206,990 to $270,990.
Five of the plans are two-story and have an unfinished basement and a patio or porch. The sixth design is a three-story layout with a finished lower level with hobby room or guest bedroom, an optional full bath, two decks and a patio.
Three of the floor plans have main-level master suites.
The community will include two ponds, a nature area with gazebo, a walking path and about 2 1/2 acres of landscaped open space. Exterior maintenance of the homes, snow removal, grass cutting and landscaping will be provided for a monthly fee.
Model homes are expected to open this spring. A partially finished home will be built next to the fully furnished models for people to see “behind-the-walls” energy-efficient features.
Forest Glen is located on Geneva Road bordering Wheaton.

Sales are being conducted from Sunrise at Meadowbrook in Lake in the Hills, another Classic Homes development.
