Rick Morrissey (Tribune, Feb. 1) preaches a sermon about bad, bad Butch Davis shockingly not sharing details of his job search with the rest of the world. Thanks for again reminding us that sports columnist is that rare profession one can turn to for superior morality.

It must be comforting for Tribune Co.’s editors to know they’ll never be surprised by a resignation letter from Mr. Morrissey since his conscience will require him to confess to his bosses any job offers he might be considering . . . not that any such offers are likely to come from anyone who has read his columns.
