Tribune coverage regarding the Sox and Cubs has always been biased toward the Cubs, but the Feb. 3 edition hit new lows. On a weekend with very little going on around town in the sports world other than SoxFest and the Cubs Convention, you did not have one column inch of space devoted to the town’s only major pro team coming off a playoff season.
It’s time for Tribune reporters to start reporting the news that is out there. Ignoring the Sox makes the Tribune look jealous of all the success they have had while the Cubs have floundered.
