Robert A. Pierce, age 53, of Dolton, passed away Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, beloved son of Robert and Lillian; loving brother of Ron and Pam (Robert) Kaufman; dear uncle of Alicia, Gala, Jon, Sara, Ashley and Adam; dear great-uncle of Melanie. Mr. Pierce is also survived by many dear and special lifelong friends who were also a part of his family. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Feb. 12 at 11 a.m. at the SchroederLauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mr. Pierce was employed by the Illinois Tollway Authority with 101/2 yrs of service and was an avid sports enthusiast.
