Leland B. Spees, 70, Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Wheeling, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 6, 2001. He worked for the Proctor and Gamble Co. in Chicago for 35 years, retiring in 1990. Mr. Spees is survived by his wife of 29 years, Nancy; a daughter, Julie Spees; four sons, John, Mike (Kathy), Randall (Tami) and Darryl (LeeAnn); a stepdaughter, Debbie Pierce (Steve); a stepson, James Gruner and six grandchildren. Interment chapel services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, IL.
