Barbara Schmidt, beloved wife of Robert L. Schmidt; loving mother of Jan L. Schmidt, Jo (Bruce) Blaker and Robert E. (Amy) Schmidt; cherished grandmother of Nicole and Brendon Blaker and Jacob Schmidt. After Barbara completed her nursing degree at St. Lukes School of Nursing in 1953, she began a career with what is now Rush-Presbyterian-St. Lukes, that has spanned 45 years.
