Carlton Bradford Sturgeon Jr., age 84, of Holland, MI, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001 at his home. Mr. Sturgeon was formerly the owner and operator of Armstrong and Sturgeon, Inc., Food Brokerage Company in Chicago, until his retirement in 1970. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II. He was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Holland and the Kiwanis Club in Florida. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Janet, of Holland; children, Barbara C. (George) Bonertz of Hinsdale, IL and Bill (Nancy) Sturgeon of Naperville, IL; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Holland. Officiating will be the Rev. Tom Nelson. No visitation is scheduled. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Hospice of Holland. Arrangements are by the Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 295 Douglas Ave., Holland, MI.
