Peter L. Pollack Sr., age 68, U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, late of Walkerton, IN, passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, cherished husband of 37 years of the late Judith Marie, RN, nee Nickelson; beloved father of Peter Jr. and Kimberly Louise. Mr. Pollack was a tile contractor in Chicago for over 50 years. He was a member of Oak Lawn Masonic Lodge #1166, A.F. & A.M., serving as Master in 1984, as well as a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Chicago and Medinah Temple, Hospitality. Mr. Pollack was associated with the YMCA Indian Guides and Princess programs. He was an avid collector of rare history books and was known worldwide in this endeavor. His personal library numbered in the thousands. Mr. Pollack retired in 1998 and moved to his island home at Koontz Lake, IN. Funeral Services will be held Friday, Feb. 16, 2001 at 10 a.m. at Edgar Funeral Home, 10900 S. Cicero, Oak Lawn, with Rev. Evan M. Goranson Sr. officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, Oak Lawn.
