This is in response to Salim Muwakkil’s “Reparations Part II: The movement’s next step” (Commentary, Feb. 12), about reparations for African-Americans.
One paragraph started with, “African-Americans exist only because they were `victimized’ by the transatlantic slave trade.”
As horrific and terrible as that was, I’m sure he’s happy to be here in this great country of ours.
