John C. “Jack” Borner, 64, of Park Ridge, formerly of Norwood Park, passed away at his home February 15, after a courageous battle with leukemia, U.S. Army veteran, 1959-1961, beloved husband for 40 years to Mary A. Borner, nee Sharkey; loving father of Kenneth J. (Laura), Judy A. (Mario) Orlandi and John P. (Kathleen) Borner; proud grandfather of Kyle, Matthew, Ryan, Natalie, Max, Quinn, Jack, Shannon and Mary Kate; fond brother of Frieda (the late Walter) Krueger; dearest brother-in-law of Dominick (Peggy) Sharkey, Jennie (Mike) O’Keefe, Pat (Sally) Sharkey of Park Ridge, John (Bridie) Sharkey, Agnes (the late Paddy) Flannery of Ireland and Catherine (Pat) Spelman of London, England; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
