Dr. Yonan Carmen Boba, 70, retired optometrist, of Chicago, formerly of Wilmette, died Feb. 16, 2001, beloved husband of Barbara Jean, nee Sargis; loving and devoted father of Matthew, Amy and Jonathan (Jennifer); fond brother of Edward (Judith) and the late Donald (Phyllis); dear uncle of Gary (Kim) Boba, Jill Boba (Chris DeLuca), Michael (Anne Marie) and Allison Boba; preceded in death by his parents Carmen and Maney Boba. Dr. Boba was an optometrist on North Clark Street for 47 years where his patients became his friends. His greatest joy was teaching Adult Sunday School and Bible Study for the past 40 years.
