Toronto General Manager Gord Ash files a formal complaint with Major League Baseball? Whatever. Let’s just end this entire ordeal now.

The only thing that has become clear in this Mike Sirotka mess is that nothing will ever be clear, so let’s clean it up and move on. It’s a shame that the White Sox–defending division champs and supposed pennant contenders–have opened camp and “Shouldergate” is all everyone wants to talk about. How often does a Chicago baseball team enter a season with such high hopes? Not very. How did we manage to goof it up?

Most likely, the involved GMs, Ken Williams and Ash, are both, at least to some degree, responsible for this ongoing fiasco. So bring the case in front of the high judge, Bud Selig, and let’s end this once and for all. Hopefully, if the Sox are fortunate–very fortunate–Selig will tell both men to quit bickering and go home. A deal is a deal.

Now be men about it.
