John V. Troiani, age 77, of Chicago Heights, beloved husband of Elda, nee Spalluto; dearest father of Doug Troiani and Dave (Connie) Troiani; loving brother of Lorraine Sheehan of Chicago Heights, Lena (Fred) Ribando of Arizona and the late Dominic Troiani (1991); fond grandfather of Elizabeth, Jeffrey, John and Stephanie Troiani; great-grandfather of Richard, Sabrina, John and Kayla; uncle to several nieces and nephews. 1941 graduate of Bloom High School. U.S. Coast Guard veteran of WW II. Member of the Catholic War Veterans, VFW, Marchegiana Society and Chicago Heights Park Dist. Senior Thursday Club. Employed as a machine shop Foreman for AMSCO for 35 years, also employed by School Dist. 170, where he was Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds, retiring in 1990, but continued to work part time. Visitation 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hirsch Funeral Homes West End Chapel, Lincoln Hwy. and Otto Blvd., Chicago Heights. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Monday at St. Liborius Church, 71 W. 35th St., Steger.
