This is in response to “Avoiding the Colombia quagmire” (Editorial, Feb. 13). The drug problem in this country is not Colombia’s. Handing over $1.3 billion to the Colombian armed forces will not cure its insidious grip on American society. Our money must be spent on a cure at home, not on Band-Aids abroad.
