Right wingers Tony Amonte and Steve Sullivan are leading the Blackhawks in goal scoring with 30 and 28 goals respectively through Monday. A dozen more goals each for these two would give the Hawks just the seventh season in team history with at least two players scoring 40 or more goals. STEADY AS HE GOES
Earlier this season, Red Wing forward Doug Brown over took Harold “Mush” March for sole possession of second place in all-time goal scoring among players who never registered a 20-goal season. On two occasions Brown narrowly missed disqualifying himself for this distinction by scoring 19 goals with Detroit in 1997-98 and 18 goals with Pittsburgh in 1993-94.
