Delores S. Fleming, 80 years old, of La Porte, IN died Feb. 17, 2001. On June 27, 1943 in Huntington, IN she married Laurence D. Fleming who preceded her on Sept. 1, 1971. Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Fleming of La Porte, IN, Christine Shelton of Centralia, IL and Cynthia Evans of La Porte, IN; three sons, Terrance Fleming of Chicago, IL, Laurence Fleming of La Porte, IN and Jerome Fleming of Indianapolis, IN; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two stepbrothers, Harry Miller of Salt Lake City, UT and Lyle Horsley of California; two sisters, Addie Bel Ness of Huntington, IN and Joan Hook of Ft. Wayne, IN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents; two sisters, Ladora Holmes and Arlene Huking. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, La Porte and the La Porte Chapter of the Eastern Star #280, active in the Girl Scout and Boy Scout Clubs, also active in the Hanley School P.T.A. Funeral services Wednesday, Feb. 21, 1 p.m., at Essling Funeral Home. Rev. Susan Martin officiating. Eastern Star Memorial Service to be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
