I was appalled by the Tribune’s Feb. 4 editorial, which actually seemed to gloat over Timothy McVeigh’s upcoming death penalty. I have been seriously considering changing my support for the death penalty based, in part, upon several well-reasoned Tribune articles. Apparently the death penalty is a horrible and unfair remnant of our brutal past that must be abolished, except if you are of the wrong political persuasion.
