Matthew W. Ladd, 82, a retired credit clerk, died Friday, Feb. 16, in his Darien home. Mr. Ladd worked in the retail industry, served in the Army during World War II and was a member of VFW Post 2838. Survivors include his wife, Virginia; a son, Matthew; a daughter, Barbara; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien.
