Martin de Maat, Artistic Director of The Second City Training Centers and influential improvisation teacher who trained thousands of actors at The Second City, Columbia College and Omega Institute, among others. Brother of Patricia and Albert de Maat; nephew of Josephine Forsberg and Lee Houghton; he is missed by many in the improvisation and theater community. Service and interment will be private. A public memorial will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2 p.m. at The Second City, 1616 N. Wells St., Chicago.
