This is regarding your Feb. 10 editorial “Warning: Lane closures ahead” on the project to rebuild Wacker Drive. We’re dismayed that a project of this magnitude and impact has been adopted with so little apparent planning for the disruption. How does the city think that everyone will be able to get to work and to needed merchants and services? The city should close off all private through-traffic in the affected area, and provide a constant stream of buses and CTA trains. As a side benefit, maybe people will keep using public transit after the project is over.
