John Thomas Perry, died peacefully in his home at Dominican Oaks on Jan. 20, 2001, he was 88 years old; John was born on Feb. 26, 1912 in Chicago. In the 1930’s he joined Equitable Life Assurance Society where he worked until his retirement. In 1937 he married Helen Highland, also of Chicago. Helen died in 1995. They had one daughter, Annette Perry Whelan, of Santa Cruz, CA, and two grandchildren, Christopher Kelly of Colorado Springs, CO and Bridget Kelly of La Crosse, WI. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 306 S. Prospect Ave., Park Ridge, IL 60068. A reception in the Library Lounge of the church follows immediately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be sent to St. Mary’s Church.
