Richard J. Holowicki, age 65, of Niles, restauranteur of Mary’s Restaurant, Chicago, IL for 50 years, known as “the pierogi man”, passed away Feb. 22, 2001, surrounded by his family. Survived by his devoted wife Freida, nee Pabisiak; loving children, Deborah (Joseph) Gulik, Rich (Janice) and Andy; dearest grandfather “pop-pop” of Eric and Anna Holowicki and the late Robert Gulik; dear brother of Edward (Stevie), Eugene (Glennis) and the late Bernadette Motykiewicz.
