William K. Warner, 54, of Palatine, a building manager at Congregation Beth Am in Buffalo Grove, died of a heart attack Wednesday, Feb. 21, at work. Born in Evanston, Mr. Warner was raised in Niles and spent the past 18 years working in maintenance at Congregation Beth Am. Mr. Warner was the owner of Best Quality Maid, a residential and commercial cleaning service in Palatine, for more than 20 years. Mr. Warner enjoyed taking long walks and fishing. “He was a generous and kindhearted man,” said his wife, Mary Jo. Other survivors include a son, Jeffrey; a stepdaughter, Dayna Schroedter; his mother, Norine; and two brothers, John and Jerry. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Prayers will be said during the visitation at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
