Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Every weekday morning, a group of my friends and I gather at a local bar and have our morning coffee and fruit juice.

We also read the Chicago Tribune, from cover to cover.

Usually, whenever one of us finds an interesting article or commentary, he reads it aloud to the others.

So you can score another point for a grammar-school skill that has uses.

More often than not, we share the columns from Eric Zorn and Mary Schmich.

Granted, a room full of guys does not always relate to Sissy and Missy.

But we try.

But we do relate to injustices and the vagaries of the various court systems, unfortunately.

Also, for the most part, all of the columns accomplish what we believe columns should.

They give us something to talk about and to think about that we may not have been aware of previously.

So on behalf of all of us at the Richard’s Bar Breakfast Club, thanks for the articles and keep up the great work.
