She was self employed in the landscaping business. Preceded by parents, Omer V. and Agnes, nee Walsh, Smith; and brother Johnny Smith. Survived by husband Larry Hicks, Elgin, IL; two children, Kim (Carl) Carpenter, Shiloh, IL and David (Barbara) Owca, Summerville, SC; brother Kevin Smith, Collinsville, IL and three sisters, Rosemary (Don) Tate, St. Louis, MO, JoAnn Fiandaca, Ladue, MO and Judy Smith, Collinsville, IL; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Jaime, Rebecca, Carl, Alex, William, Joseph and Gabrielle; dear nieces and nephews.
