The Gurnee Plan Commission has recommended approval of two proposed subdivisions that could add 25 residential units to the village.

Commissioners voted in favor of a proposal from Insignia Homes to subdivide nine vacant acres east of Dilley’s Road and south of Stearns School Road into 19 lots for single-family houses. The property is adjacent to the Pembrook subdivision.

Commissioners also recommended approval of a plan by developer James Kroll to build three two-family buildings east of Magnolia Avenue and north of Grand Avenue. The buildings would be side-by-side duplexes, requiring the land to be subdivided into six lots.

Also last week, representatives of Sprint PCS requested a continuance for their proposal to build a 150-foot tall monopole antenna at 3732 Grandview Ave.
