Of all the idiotic and moronic solutions to the school shooting problem, the one offered by Chuck Kuecker takes the cake (“Allow guns,” Voice of the people, March 8). His solution to school shooting? More guns!
Couldn’t you just envision a number of students reaching into their backpacks and drawing weapons to “defend themselves” at the first sound of gunshots (or perceived gunshots)?
In the face of death, one is no longer stable and sane, and will lash out if armed rather than run.
