Joseph A. Chirchirillo, 88, formerly a longtime resident of Wood Dale, died Friday, March 16, in Boca Raton (Fla.) Community Hospital. Mr. Chirchirillo was a well-known produce buyer, having worked for himself and for Marano Bros., a long-gone produce company in Chicago. “He loved golf, that was his game,” said his granddaughter, Phyllis Sawyer. Mr. Chirchirillo, an Army veteran, had been a resident of Boca Raton for the last 30 years, his granddaughter said. Other survivors include his wife of 68 years, Jean; another granddaughter, Deborah Krader; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Philip; and three sisters, Nicoletta Kohuth, Rose Faraci and Thomasina Berlinger. Visitation will be from 4 until 9 p.m. Thursday in The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Rd., Itasca. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 254 N. Wood Dale Rd., Wood Dale.
