Michael E. Powers, 72, of Deerfield Beach, FL passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 in Florida. Mr. Powers moved to Florida in 1990 from Bridgeview, IL. Michael proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW in Bridgeview. Mr. Powers was preceded in death by his son, Michael, in 1991. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marlene; daughter, Kathleen (Richard) Martyka; four grandchildren, Richard, Patrick, Kelly and Brett; and two great-grandchildren, Richard and Samantha.
