Do I understand the politicians? The land around the Gary airport is so polluted that it would cost too much to clean up to expand the airport, but leaving this land in its polluted state is OK?
If it’s that polluted, then it needs to be cleaned up for the health and safety of the local residents. If and when it is cleaned up, then it’s safe for airport expansion.
What am I missing?
