Suddenly it all becomes very clear: Andy MacPhail has done such a magnificent job the last five years making the Cubs a winner that the “world’s greatest newspaper” believed he should be given a chance to rebuild the Chicago Tribune as well. His handiwork is all too apparent.
I am 83 years old and have been a Cubs fan all my life. The past five years have been miserable. Andy should be retired.
I will probably remain a Cubs fan until I die. I don’t know if I will remain a Tribune reader.
