The Park District is planning a $90,000 project to reconstruct a walking and jogging path at 42-acre Bierman Park on Woodlake Avenue near Boa Street.
The new paved path will replace a limestone-sand trail. It will be 1.5 miles long and will extend around a 20-acre lake.
The limestone path “washes out a lot in the rain,” said Keith Gorczyca, Park District director.
