In their article “Answer for gas prices: Bus, bike, shoe leather” (Metro, April 25), reporters Gary Washburn and Diana Strzalka told us how “disgusted” people were with rising gasoline prices.

But how sorry are we supposed to feel for the owner of a $60,000 SUV whining about spending $50 to fill its tank? Couldn’t Mr. Washburn and Ms. Strzalka have found a more convincing example of someone who finds it difficult to cope with the price increases?
