PBS is moving “ExxonMobil Masterpiece Theatre” from its longtime Sunday home as part of the public broadcasting network’s first major prime-time schedule overhaul in more than 25 years. “Masterpiece Theatre,” a PBS fixture for more than 30 years, is being transported to Mondays in the fall in an effort to lure new viewers, according to network president Pat Mitchell. The documentary series “Frontline” is also on the move, from Tuesday to Thursday, where it will be paired with “Antiques Roadshow UK,” a British offshoot of America’s popular antiques valuation series. New on Friday is the 13-part series “Life 360,” stories focused on a single theme through documentary, performances and personal narrative; and “Local News,” a five-part reality series about a TV newsroom in Charlotte, N.C. What isn’t known is how the new schedule, most of which should bow in October, will play on Chicago’s WTTW-Ch. 11, which sometimes doesn’t air PBS programming at the same time as the rest of the country.
