John Wetzel, 84, born in Decatur, IL, raised his family in the Chicago area, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2001. John was a U.S. Army Veteran, who served in WWII. He received his degree in Electrical Engineering from the Univ. of Illinois. He could design, build and repair anything and found great joy in doing so throughout his life. A lover of music, he was an avid dancer and sang in church choirs for many years. This gentle, loving man will be missed by his family, friends and extended family members, including sons, John, David and Matt; daughters, Patty, Christine and Jill; a brother, James; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Others who loved him as a father and will deeply feel this loss are Pato and Richard. Rest peacefully, Dad, we will miss you and love you always. A Memorial Mass was held at St. John Church, West Chester, OH, Monday, June 18 at 7 p.m.
