Don Wycliff, Chicago Tribune public editor, in sticking up for Chicago Sun-Times columnist Mary Mitchell, who was verbally assaulted at Wrigley Field by a bunch of morons (“Graduation shenanigans and `Juneteenth’ day,” Commentary, July 12) had referred to them as “white idiots.”
I would just like to remind him that color has nothing to do with being an idiot–you can find them in any group of people.
A man in his position should be a little more tactful.
Racism is bad and reverse racism is just as bad.
