Troy Glaus marked the return of baseball to Baltimore’s Camden Yards with a pair of two-run homers, and Scott Spiezio tripled and scored the tie-breaking run in the 10th inning as the Anaheim Angels beat the Orioles 6-5 Saturday night.
It was the first game in Baltimore since Wednesday, when a train derailed and caught fire in a tunnel near the stadium. The mishap and subsequent cleanup forced the postponement of three games, including Friday’s game against Anaheim.
The Orioles trailed 5-2 in the ninth before teeing off against Troy Percival, who entered with 25 saves in 26 chances, to tie the game.
But the Angels bounced back in the 10th to extend their winning streak to five. Spiezio hit a two-out triple off Alan Mills (0-1) and scored when Bengie Molina bounced a bad-hop infield single off the chest of Baltimore third baseman Cal Ripken.
