The entire city would benefit and fewer injuries would result if all sidewalk users would simply stay to the right and pass on the left.

Public service announcements and posters styled like the 1960s “Wear white at night” campaign would raise awareness of sidewalk safety for walkers, bladers, bikers and runners.

Examples:

“If you’re right, you’re right!”

“Don’t get left!”

“Right on!”

“You have the right to remain standing.”
