My heart goes out to Linda Will and the rest of the family and friends of Rashidi Wheeler, the Northwestern football player who died from an asthma attack on Aug. 3.
As I watched her pain and suffering immediately after the death of her son, I admired her grace and dignity in discussing working with Northwestern to make sure this did not happen ever again in the future. .
Asthma is a potentially fatal condition that needs to be closely monitored.
Not to place blame on Rashidi or his family, but if he had similar attacks, up to 20 to 30 in the past, why was that young man still playing football?
