I just read “Ex-couple fights over letting son visit prison” (News, Aug. 21), which said a father in Nebraska could go to jail for refusing to let his 6-year-old son stay overnight with his mother in prison. The mother is in prison because she killed her estranged husband’s girlfriend and a passerby who tried to save the victim. The boy’s parents are now divorced, but as part of the divorce settlement the father is obligated to let the boy visit the mother every other week from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening.
